History: Benny's original course opened in 1974. Benny opened on 12 September 1974 under the design credit of Oba Co., Ltd., with later modification by Sozaburo Uenishi. The club's published profile notes that the course has elevation changes but avoids making every uphill section a long slog, using the landform and routing sequence to keep the round moving.

Did You Know? The single bent green was converted in September 2002. That change is a small but meaningful part of the course's current personality, because one large putting surface makes approach placement and putting lines more central than the original multi-green arrangement. The 400-metre elevation is reflected in the mountain-course label, while the 6,669-yard total keeps the layout from being reduced to a short hill course.
