Bearpath Golf & Country Club

Overview: Bearpath Golf & Country Club is a private Jack Nicklaus Signature course in Eden Prairie, set within rolling ground selected for its topography and natural beauty. Nicklaus's design philosophy is visible in the way the holes offer different strategic routes from the tee and in the care given to approach angles. The course can be played across a broad range of yardages, but the central challenge is choosing where to position the ball before the green complexes come into view. Its setting retains the character of the land while integrating the course into a residential club environment.

History: Bearpath became a reality in August 1996 after plans were drawn, ground was broken and Jack Nicklaus created the golf course at the center of the development. Nicklaus Design identifies the course as a Signature layout, meaning that Nicklaus himself invested directly in the design process. The club has since carried out phased work based on a Nicklaus Master Plan rather than replacing the original routing. That approach keeps the opening-era architecture connected to current course presentation and maintenance.
