Baywood Greens

Overview: Baywood Greens is an 18-hole public course in Long Neck, Delaware, built through a resort-style community between mature woodland and the coastal landscape of Rehoboth Bay. Ault, Clark & Associates shaped two contrasting nines: Woodside moves through trees and planted corridors, while Waterside opens toward ponds, wetlands and broader views. The course's identity comes from the amount of landscape integrated into the routing, with flowers, gardens, brick paths, water and carefully framed fairways forming a highly managed parkland setting. At par 72 and 6,983 yards, it offers a substantial round without losing the visual variety that defines the property.

History: Baywood Greens opened in 1999 as the golf centerpiece of a Long Neck residential and resort development. The layout was planned as a public-facing course rather than a private club hidden inside the community, and the Woodside and Waterside nines were designed to create different landscapes within one 18-hole round. The present course is closely connected to the wider Baywood property, whose homes, marina and coastal setting provide the surrounding context. The official site continues to describe the course as a central part of the community's live-and-play concept.
