Bay Point Golf & Tennis Club (Meadows Course)

Overview: The Meadows Course was the tree-lined, 18-hole course at Bay Point in Panama City Beach. Historical course references describe a par-72 layout of roughly 6,913 yards designed by Willard C. Byrd, but the course is no longer a playable facility.

History: The Meadows opened in 1973 and operated as part of the Bay Point resort complex. It closed after Hurricane Michael damaged the property in 2018; current course references therefore describe the layout historically rather than as a course that can be booked today.

Did You Know? Bay Point’s two historical routings had different design identities: the Meadows was the wooded parkland course, while the other course was later transformed into the Nicklaus Course. That contrast explains why both names continue to appear in older Panama City Beach golf records.
