History: Bay Oaks grew from a 1963 vision for a golf and social community, but the inaugural round on the present course was played on November 18, 1988. That date places the course within the major expansion of Houston’s suburban golf landscape, when Clear Lake was developing into a significant residential and commercial centre. Arthur Hills’ design remains the core of the property, and the club continues to present the course as a complete 18-hole experience rather than a collection of isolated signature holes.
