Overview: In North Naples, the 18-hole Bay Colony Golf Club is a private preserve-side course in North Naples, set beside the Cocohatchee Strand Nature Preserve within the Pelican Marsh community. Robert von Hagge designed the course with softly rolling fairways, mogul-crested ground, native planting, and a route that moves along preserve edges rather than through a dense housing grid.
History: Bay Colony opened in 1996 as a Robert von Hagge design. The club completed a comprehensive 2014 restoration that rebuilt the fairways, greens, tees, bunkers, and bulkheads and replaced perimeter trees and tropical plantings. The course has also hosted Senior PGA Tour events in 1996, 1997, and 1998.
Did You Know? The course occupies land beside a nature preserve and includes more varied topography than the flatness often associated with Florida golf. The mogul-crested fairways and preserve corridors are central to the course’s visual and playing identity.
