Bashofu Course

Overview: Bashofu Course is an 18-hole short layout in Nanjo, southern Okinawa, designed around the pleasure of completing a full round without the length of a championship course. Its official guide lists par 58 and 3,188 yards, with the two nines measuring 1,663 and 1,525 yards. The compact scale does not remove strategy: the course map and hole notes show a sequence of par threes, short par fours and reachable par fives where the quality of the approach and the ability to control distance shape the score. The setting adds a distinctly Okinawan backdrop to a quick, focused round.

History: The official course guide records Bashofu’s opening on April 25, 2015. Since then the course has been presented as a dedicated 18-hole route rather than a nine-hole course played twice, with the full round completed in a self-directed format using the course’s guided-cart system. Its identity is therefore clear even though it is shorter than most directory listings: Bashofu is a complete 18-hole experience with its own par, routing and character. The course remains part of the golf offering around Nanjo and a useful complement to Okinawa’s larger resort layouts.
