Barefoot Resort & Golf (Love)

Overview: The Love Course at Barefoot Resort is a public resort layout in North Myrtle Beach designed by Davis Love III. Its generous fairways, Pinehurst-inspired green complexes, Lowcountry vegetation and plantation ruins create a course that balances room from the tee with demanding approaches.

History: Barefoot Resort was developed as a large golf project whose four championship courses were created by Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio and Pete Dye. Love’s course was shaped to reflect Carolina traditions and the natural character of the property.

Did You Know? Holes 3 through 7 incorporate recreated ruins of an old plantation home. The feature gives the Love Course a historical visual layer that is unusual even in the story-rich Lowcountry.
