Overview: The Dye Course at Barefoot Resort is a semi-private Pete Dye design in North Myrtle Beach. It uses native grasses, dramatic bunker shapes, and the coastal resort’s broad sandy setting to produce a demanding course that feels distinct from Barefoot’s other architect-led layouts.

History: The Dye Course was part of the Barefoot Resort development that took shape around 2000. Pete Dye’s design joined the resort’s Norman, Love, and Fazio courses, giving the property four contrasting architectural voices within one coastal destination.

Did You Know? Barefoot’s resort history includes a 1934 swing bridge that was moved from Edenton, North Carolina, in 2000 to cross the Intracoastal Waterway. The bridge is a reminder that the resort’s landscape contains pieces of regional history as well as new golf construction.
