Banchory Golf Club

Overview: Established in 1904 and situated on the banks of the mighty River Dee, Banchory Golf Club is a picturesque and technical parkland course in the heart of Aberdeenshire. Designed by Archie Simpson and opened in 1905, the layout is famous for its intimate relationship with the river, which comes into play on several of the most challenging holes. The course is relatively short by modern standards but requires ultimate precision due to its narrow fairways and small, well-guarded greens. Golfers are treated to spectacular vistas of the surrounding Deeside hills, providing a serene and scenic backdrop to a focused round of golf.

Banchory is the home club of former Open Champion Paul Lawrie, and its short but demanding layout is often credited with helping to hone the legendary short game and accuracy for which he is famous.
