Baltimore Country Club (East / Five Farms)

Overview: The East Course at Baltimore Country Club, located at the Five Farms property in Lutherville, Maryland, is a historic championship parkland designed by notable architect A.W. Tillinghast. Set across rolling hills, the course features tree-lined fairways, deep bunkering, and exceptionally complex, contoured greens. The layout sitting naturally on the Maryland countryside is highly celebrated for its historic routing, demanding both strategic accuracy off the tee and a precise short game to avoid the severe slopes surrounding the putting surfaces.

History: Open and the 1932 PGA Championship, making it one of only two clubs in the country to host a U.S. Open, PGA Championship, Senior Open, and Walker Cup. In 2015, the course underwent a well regarded restoration by Keith Foster, who removed over a thousand trees to reopen historic vistas and restored Tillinghast’s signature rugged, grass-faced bunkers.

Did You Know? The East Course features one of the most known examples of Tillinghast's "Great Hazard" template on the par-5 14th hole,a massive, sprawling complex of bunkers that completely bisects the fairway, forcing players to make a highly strategic decision on their second shot whether to lay up or attempt a heroic carry.
