Overview: Bally's Golf Links at Ferry Point is a public Jack Nicklaus links-style course in the Bronx, with open fescue, rolling ground and views toward the New York City skyline and Whitestone Bridge. The wide setting gives the course a distinctly urban coastal character.
History: The 18-hole course opened in 2015 as Ferry Point Park's major golf facility and later adopted the Bally's name. Its public access and location on the eastern edge of New York City make it a different proposition from the private clubs elsewhere in the New York ranking.
Did You Know? The course's second hole can be played as either a long par four or a par five, a design choice that changes the risk-reward question for different tees and daily setups.
