Overview: Ballyowen Golf Club is a public links-style course on a broad plateau in Hamburg, New Jersey. Roger Rulewich shaped the layout in the spirit of Irish and Scottish golf, using open ground, grass-covered rises and deep bunkering to give the round a heathland-like rhythm.
History: Ballyowen opened in June 1998 as part of Crystal Springs Resort's expanding golf portfolio. The course occupies about 250 acres and was designed by Roger Rulewich, a longtime associate of Robert Trent Jones Sr.
Did You Know? Ballyowen was the fifth of seven courses developed under the Crystal Springs Resort umbrella. Its name and visual language deliberately point toward the coastal golf traditions of Ireland and Scotland.
