History: Avery Ranch was conceived as a Central Texas Hill Country course that could offer championship scale without losing its connection to the surrounding landscape. The club’s own description continues to emphasise the combination of natural limestone country, water and oak-lined corridors. Its most recognisable design idea is the contrast between the demanding opening nine and the more visibly strategic back nine, where the varied par sequence changes how golfers manage their round.

Did You Know? The closing hole runs 477 yards beside Avery Lake and plays as a par four. The club highlights the hole for its views and finish, but the shoreline also gives the final tee shot and approach a clear visual target, making the end of the round easy to remember.
