Avalon Golf & Country Club

Overview: Avalon Golf & Country Club is a spectacular 18-hole championship course situated 400 meters above sea level in the Bois Chéri region of the southern Mauritian highlands. Designed by the renowned South African architect Peter Matkovich and opened in 2015, the layout is an inland parkland course characterized by its dramatic elevation changes and rolling terrain. History: Developed as the centerpiece of a high-end 220-hectare residential estate, Avalon was built to provide a unique high-altitude golfing alternative to the island's coastal resorts.
