Aulanko Golf (Eversti)

Overview: Located in the historic town of Hämeenlinna, Finland, the Eversti Course at Aulanko Golf is a modern 18-hole parkland layout designed by Finnish architect Lassi Pekka Tilander. Winding through mature forests of pine, birch, and oak trees, the layout features rolling fairways, strategic sand hazards, and beautifully contoured green complexes. Tilander routed the holes to emphasize strategic positioning off the tee, requiring players to choose correct angles to reach the well-defended greens.

History: Opened in 2006, the Eversti Course was added to the Aulanko estate to expand the club's golf offerings, complementing the older Hugo Course. Tilander sculpted the agricultural terrain to create a strategic championship layout that respects the historic Aulanko nature reserve bordering the property.

Did You Know? The historic Aulanko park bordering the course was established in the late 19th century by Colonel Hugo Standertskjöld. The colonel constructed artificial castles, ruins, swan ponds, and scenic viewpoints, several of which can still be visited just feet from the fairways of the Eversti Course.
