Overview: Set along the scenic, forested shores of Lake Mjøsa, Atlungstad Golf is a premier championship course designed by Dave Thomas Ltd. The layout blends mature pine forest corridors with dramatic lakeside holes, featuring rolling parkland fairways, strategic bunkering, and large, undulating putting surfaces. Exposed to the lake breezes and framed by historic farmsteads, the course requires precise distance control and strategic play, especially on the dramatic closing stretch along the water.
History: Opened in 2006, Atlungstad Golf was designed by the renowned firm of former Ryder Cup player Dave Thomas to create a top-tier championship venue in Hedmark. The routing was carefully planned to preserve the mature pine trees and the historical agricultural structures of the Atlungstad estate, immediately establishing the club as a centerpiece of southern Norwegian golf.
Did You Know? The course is situated directly adjacent to the historic Atlungstad Brenneri, a heritage potato distillery founded in 1855; players can enjoy a spectacular view of the distillery's iconic brick chimney from the lakeside 17th green.
