Overview: Mature trees and gently rolling ground give Atalaya's Old Course a traditional Costa del Sol character. The 18 holes are shaped by doglegs, approach shots, and careful positioning, with the established parkland setting rewarding accuracy more than overpowering the property.
History: The Old Course opened in 1968 and is credited to German architect Bernard von Limburger. It is one of the established early courses around Estepona and has kept the character of a mature parkland club while the surrounding coast developed.
Did You Know? Atalaya is divided into Old and New courses with different design histories. The Old Course's mature planting is therefore part of its original identity and gives it a more settled character than newer layouts nearby.
