Arrowhead Pointe Golf Course

Overview: Arrowhead Pointe Golf Course is a public Bob Walker design at Richard B. Russell State Park in Elberton, Georgia. The course moves through rolling parkland beside the reservoir, using elevation changes, native vegetation, and water views to create a relaxed but varied state-park round.

History: Arrowhead Pointe was developed as part of Georgia’s state-park golf program and opened in 2004. Bob Walker designed the course to work with the park’s natural setting, making the lake and changing terrain central to the experience.

Did You Know? Georgia’s own Bob Walker designed Arrowhead Pointe, and the state describes the course as having constant elevation change. The layout therefore gets much of its variety from the park land itself rather than from dense housing or artificial spectacle.
