Arendal og Omegn Golfklubb

Overview: Located near Arendal in southern Norway, Arendal og Omegn Golfklubb is a highly scenic 18-hole woodland and parkland course. Winding through dense pine forests and open, rolling agricultural fields, the layout features tight fairways, subtle elevation changes, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The course demands precise ball placement off the tee and disciplined iron play to navigate the narrow forest corridors and numerous natural streams.

History: The club was established in the late 1990s to bring high-quality competitive golf to the Aust-Agder region. The layout was carefully integrated into the existing landscape, minimizing earth movement to preserve the historic agricultural fields and providing a high-quality, accessible venue for the local community.

Did You Know? Because the course is built near the coast of the Skagerrak strait, players are often subjected to shifting coastal winds that drastically alter the playing strategy and club selection on the exposed, elevated holes.
