Arendal og Omegn Golfklubb (Pay & Play)

Overview: Arendal & Omegn Golfklubb offers an 18-hole undulated main course of high standard, playing to a par of 72. A separate 9-hole Pay & Play Course (Pitch & Putt) runs to par 27 over 973 metres, providing a sharp challenge for shorter games. A driving range and putting green sit alongside the clubhouse for warm-up and practice. The entire facility at Nes Verk Golfpark is recognised as one of the largest and best in Norway, welcoming both members and guests with green fees paid in the GolfShop.

History: Arendal & Omegn Golfklubb was founded on 14 August 1986, and construction of the course itself began two years later in 1988. The project relied on public funding and a tremendous amount of voluntary labour from club members. By 1994 the full 18-hole layout was finished, completing the golf park at Nes Verk. Today the clubhouse area includes restored historic buildings and modern facilities for dining, meetings, and locker rooms.

Did You Know? Storelva, the river that runs through Nes Verk, carries a strong stock of salmon and trout for anglers. The same waterway and surrounding lakes offer numerous swimming spots during warmer months, blending golf with coastal outdoor life. Nesgrenda Vel has also cleared and marked hiking trails across the property, creating a network for walkers alongside the fairways.
