Overview: Arbroath Golf Course, also known as Arbroath Golf Links, is a traditional links layout situated on the Angus coast of Scotland. The course is characterised by its flat seaside terrain, natural dunes, and the constant influence of the sea breeze. The layout features traditional pot bunkers and water hazards in the form of burns that cross several fairways, offering an authentic ground-game test.
History: The course was originally established in 1878 with an eighteen-hole design by Old Tom Morris. It was later redesigned by Willie Fernie in 1907 and further refined with strategic bunkering by James Braid in 1931, combining the work of three of the most influential architects in Scottish golf history.
Did You Know? The course is situated directly adjacent to the East Coast Main Line railway line, meaning players can watch passenger trains pass by as they navigate the fairways. The clubhouse shares its home with the Arbroath Artisan Golf Club.
