Overview: Araya Golf & Family Club brings two very different nines together inside The Araya development in Malang, East Java. The front nine, known as the Lake Course, works beside riverbanks, lakes and rice fields; the back nine, or Hill Course, climbs through steeper ground, valleys and deep creeks. The course is closely integrated with a residential and family-club setting, but the golf routing remains the main attraction.

History: Araya was developed as part of the wider Kota Araya residential and commercial project rather than as an isolated club in the countryside. Current course information dates the 18-hole layout to 2002 and credits Poellot with the design. The operator's own history records a new 25-bay, lit driving range replacing the older facility in 2015, an update that reflects the club's continuing investment in practice and family amenities. Its current website still presents the Lake and Hill nines as one active 18-hole course.

The first nine is shaped by water, paddies and river edges, while the second nine uses hill contours, valleys and a creek that can become a serious hazard. The operator also points to views toward Malang's surrounding hills from the higher ground.
