Overview: Apple Tree Golf Course in Yakima is a public Washington layout carved through rolling ground and mature apple orchards. John Steidel’s 18-hole design measures 6,961 yards at par 72 and uses water, orchard views and shaped green complexes to create a distinctive inland Northwest round.
History: The course opened in 1992 as part of Apple Tree Resort. Its design preserved the agricultural character of the property while introducing a full championship layout, and current scorecard material confirms the Steidel attribution and published yardage.
Did You Know? The 17th green is shaped like an apple and is surrounded by water. It is one of the clearest examples of the orchard theme being translated directly into golf architecture.
