History: Annandale was founded in 1981 by local business leaders, and Jack Nicklaus designed the 18-hole course after inspecting the property in its earlier rural state. Nicklaus Design records that the course opened in 1981. Annandale later hosted the 1986 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship and became the site of a PGA Tour stop from 1994 through 2013. Those events sit alongside the club’s older land history, which includes the Annandale plantation and the former house that stood on the property before the course was developed.

Did You Know? The original Annandale house was a large Italian Renaissance-style residence built between 1857 and 1859, and it burned in 1924. The golf club kept the Annandale name, preserving a direct link between the present course and the historic property that preceded it.
