Anglebrook Golf Club

Overview: Anglebrook Golf Club is a private, non-equity course in Lincolndale, northern Westchester County. Robert Trent Jones Sr. routed the 18-hole layout across a 240-acre site with roughly 200 feet of elevation change. The result is a bold, modern parkland course with broad landing areas, large multi-level greens, wetlands and long views from the higher ground. At 7,001 yards from the championship tees, it is a serious test, but the club also provides multiple tee positions and bailout space that give the design more range than its headline length suggests.

History: Construction began in May 1995 and construction on the course ended in June 1997. The clubhouse followed in 1996, and Anglebrook held its grand opening on May 15, 1998. The club describes the project as the final design of Jones’s architecture career, a distinction that helps explain the course’s mixture of generous width and forceful hazards. Its immediate recognition included a Golf Digest state ranking in 1999, only a year after opening, and the course has remained one of the notable golf properties in the Westchester market.

Did You Know? The 18th fairway contains a conspicuous bunker positioned where a well-struck drive appears to want to finish. That unusual final-hole feature is part of the course’s identity, alongside the high tees, wetland edges and panoramic views that appear throughout the round.
