Overview: The CA Heide-Vallei combination at Golfclub Anderstein offers an 18-hole round that plays over the Heide (heathland) and Vallei (valley) loops. The Vallei holes descend into the estate’s lush, fertile lowlands, while the Heide holes traverse higher, sandy heathland. This variety requires players to adapt their strategy as the terrain and vegetation change. The course is a parkland-heathland hybrid with a par of 72, measuring 6,126 metres from the longest tees.
History: Golfclub Anderstein was founded in 1986 as a 27-hole facility on the Landgoed Anderstein estate in Maarsbergen, Utrecht. The architect Joan Dudok van Heel designed the original course, which opened that year. The routing consists of three nine-hole loops—Vallei, Heuvelrug, and Heide—allowing flexible 18-hole combinations. Since 2014 the club has held GEO certification for its sustainable management of the estate’s diverse landscape and sensitive flora and fauna.
Did You Know? The clubhouse at Anderstein serves cheese and dairy products made right on the estate. There’s nothing like a fresh farm-house sandwich after a round in the valley!
