Amelia River Golf Club (River)

Overview: Tom Jackson's Amelia River routing occupies the island property with live oaks, water, and a listed 6,808 yards. It is a public 18-hole course, and the par-three 17th uses an island green as one of the layout's clearest strategic features.

History: The current Amelia River identity dates from 2007, when the former Royal Amelia course was renamed. The available course history supports that current naming date, while the club's present operation is the public Amelia River Golf Club on Buccaneer Trail.

Did You Know? The island-green 17th is not simply a decorative feature: the approach has to carry the surrounding water and find a relatively small target. It gives the course a distinct closing stretch before the final hole.
