Amelia Island Plantation (Ocean Links)

Overview: Amelia Island Plantation Ocean Links was a historical 18-hole coastal course designed by Pete Dye and Bobby Weed, with a par of 70 and 6,108 yards. Its routing included five holes near the ocean and the compact, strategic character associated with Dye and Weed work on the island.

History: The course was built in the mid-1970s and hosted the television competition The Big Break in 2013. Ocean Links closed permanently on November 12, 2017, and the land was subsequently treated as open green space rather than an operating golf course.

Did You Know? Five of the former Ocean Links holes were positioned near the Atlantic, giving the historical routing a direct ocean edge that was distinct from the inland marsh and oak holes. The course's 2013 television appearance also captured the layout before its closure.
