Amber Baltic Golf Club

Overview: Amber Baltic Golf Club is a 27-hole complex on Wolin Island, where the 18-hole Amber championship course and the nine-hole Baltic course sit among pine forest and varied coastal terrain. Pierre Delacour designed the project, which was ultimately completed with the involvement of Hans-Georg Erhardt's Vienna studio. The championship course is a par-72 layout with a compact, natural setting and enough changes in ground and vegetation to make the round feel more varied than its distance suggests.

History: The golf complex was officially opened in the summer of 1993 and became one of the early landmarks of modern Polish golf. Its 66-hectare site was developed for both everyday play and tournament golf, with the 18-hole Amber course, the shorter Baltic course and a full practice setup. The club has continued to present the landscape and its tournament history as central parts of the Wolin experience.

Did You Know? Amber Baltic hosted the first Polish Open Championship and the first Polish Amateur Open Championship. Those events give the course a special place in the country's competitive history, while the surrounding pine forests and Wolin National Park create a setting that is immediately recognisable as Baltic rather than inland Polish golf.
