Overview: Alta Golf Park sits at Kvenvikmoen in the northern municipality of Alta, offering one of the world's most northerly golfing experiences. The layout features a 9-hole pine-forest and sandy-soil course surrounded by mountains and local wilderness. Because of Kvenvikmoen's natural sand deposits, the course drains exceptionally well and has a long playing season for its subarctic latitude. Golfers play the course twice to complete a full 18-hole round, using four different tee positions per hole to vary the angles and distances.
Did You Know? Due to its high latitude above the Arctic Circle, Alta Golf Park offers 24-hour midnight sun golf during the peak summer months. This allows players to tee off in the middle of the night under natural sunlight, a distinct experience of northern Norwegian golf.
