Overview: Carved into the reclaimed woodlands of Flevoland, Almeerderhout Golf Club is a sprawling 27-hole facility that embodies the modern spirit of Dutch parkland golf. Designed originally by J.F. Dudok van Heel and later refined by Bruno Steensels, the course is defined by its wide, tree-lined fairways, strategic doglegs, and over 80 bunkers that demand thoughtful navigation. Its three loops of nine—Hout, IJmeer, and Almere—offer varying challenges ranging from tight forest corridors to more open, water-influenced vistas, providing a serene and athletic escape just minutes from the urban center of Almere.

Did You Know? The course is situated on land that was part of the Zuiderzee until the mid-20th century. Today, the mature forests and diverse wildlife that call the fairways home make it hard to believe that the entire property sits several meters below sea level, protected by the sophisticated Dutch polder and dike systems.
