Overview: Nestled in the heart of the Howe of Alford, Alford Golf Club is a beautiful and well-maintained parkland course that has evolved significantly since its opening in 1982. Originally a nine-hole layout, the course was expanded to a full 18-hole championship venue in 1992. The course is characterized by its wide, lush fairways, mature tree-lined holes, and the surrounding panoramic views of the Aberdeenshire hills. Its relatively flat terrain makes it an enjoyable walk, while the strategic water hazards and large, receptive greens provide a technical challenge that rewards accurate driving and thoughtful approach play.
Did You Know? The club is famous for its vibrant community spirit and its exceptionally high standards of greenkeeping, often cited as one of the best-conditioned parkland courses in the North East. Its location near the banks of the River Don adds to the peaceful and natural atmosphere of the round.
