Overview: The technical sister course to Morgado, Álamos Golf Course offers a more intimate and demanding experience through the rolling hills of the Morgado do Reguengo resort. Also designed by Russell Talley, the layout is shorter and significantly tighter than Morgado, winding through groves of trees and vineyards with several holes framed by the scenic Monchique Mountains. Accuracy is paramount here, as the smaller greens and narrower fairways demand precise iron play and creative thinking to avoid the naturally occurring hazards and strategic bunkers.
Did You Know? While Morgado is built for power, Álamos was designed to test the "short game" and tactical positioning. The course is frequently praised for its tranquility and spectacular views, particularly from the higher parts of the back nine where the combination of water features, vineyards, and mountain vistas creates a pastoral atmosphere that feels worlds away from the bustling Algarve coastline.
