Al Hamra Golf Club

Overview: Al Hamra Golf Club is a prestigious links-style course in Ras Al Khaimah that weaves around four interconnected open water lagoons. Designed by Peter Harradine and opened in 2007, the layout is a recurring host of the Ras Al Khaimah Championship on the DP World Tour. Its championship yardage of 7,400 yards features five tee boxes to accommodate all skill levels, with the Arabian Gulf and the Hajar Mountains providing a dramatic and ever-present backdrop to the strategic, water-guarded fairways.

History: The course was a key component of the Emirate’s vision to establish Ras Al Khaimah as a premier destination for international sports and tourism. Harradine and his team spent considerable time on-site during construction, utilizing the natural coastal topography to create a course that felt both grand and intimate, moving massive amounts of sand to replicate the geological characteristics of a traditional links land. Since its opening, it has drawing praise from the world's best professionals for its pure design and spectacular coastal setting.
