Overview: Ain Nakhl Golf Club is a historic 18-hole sand course located within the Saudi Aramco residential community in Abqaiq. Founded in 1948, it is one of the oldest golf facilities in the Kingdom and a classic example of early desert golf design. The layout consists of natural sand fairways and "browns" (oiled sand putting surfaces), providing a rugged and historically authentic round of golf that has served the international oil community for over 75 years.
Did You Know? Abqaiq is known as one of the most important oil processing centers in the world, and the golf course serves as a vital recreational oasis for the families living in the desert compound. The course is famously low-maintenance and eco-friendly, requiring zero irrigation and preserving the traditional "outpost" style of golf that early pioneers brought to the Arabian sands long before the first blades of grass were planted in the region.
