Abbey Hotel Golf and Country Club

Overview: The Abbey Hotel Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole parkland course at Dagnell End Road in Redditch. The current layout plays to par 70 and measures 5,819 yards from the white tees, with mature trees, water and a reconfigured sequence that gives the hotel course a strategic resort character.

History: The course was designed by Donald Steel and opened in 1985. A later redevelopment introduced four new holes, two new greens, new tees and upgraded irrigation while retaining the existing site’s main identity.

Did You Know? The former 16th hole now plays as the 9th, a par five whose changed position is one of the clearest examples of how the new routing reshaped the round.
