A.S. Golf Paradiso Del Garda

Overview: Golf Club Paradiso del Garda is an 18-hole resort course on the morainic hills south of Lake Garda, near Peschiera del Garda in Veneto. Jim Fazio designed the layout across roughly 800,000 square metres, with five lakes, numerous bunkers and broad, undulating greens. The current Lake Garda tourism profile lists the championship setup at par 71 and 5,961 metres, approximately 6,527 yards. The official club describes a year-round course with a driving range, putting and pitching areas, clubhouse services and direct access from the A4 motorway, making it a practical base for a Lake Garda golf itinerary.

History: The course is recorded as opening in 2004 in the club’s archived brochure and current club records. It was developed as a modern golf-resort project and became part of the Parc Hotels Italia destination around the course and hotel facilities. The club’s current website still presents the exact routing as 18 regulation-size holes and says the venue is open throughout the year. Over time, the course entered national competition circuits and has continued to stage organised events, including the 2024 Memorial Germano Chincherini Pro-Am. The opening-year field refers to the current 18-hole facility, not the nearby practice and academy features.

Did You Know? The bunker material is part of the course identity: the official club says the bunkers cover about 8,000 square metres and use white quartzite rather than ordinary sand. The green surfaces use Agrostis stolonifera, with the Penn-A4 cultivar identified by the operator for its density and tolerance of close mowing. Water is also a recurring design element, with four artificial lakes and one natural lake shaping the visual and strategic rhythm of the round.
