Overview: The Executive course is the separate 18-hole short layout at A. C. Read Golf Club on Naval Air Station Pensacola. It is built for shorter golf than the regulation combinations, with a par-60 scorecard and a mix of predominantly par 3 holes and shorter par 4s in the waterfront naval-station setting.
History: A. C. Read began as a wartime-era golf course and later expanded into a larger complex. In 1964, the original nine holes on the east side of the road were converted into an 18-hole par-60 short course. That Executive course remains distinct from the Bayou, Lakeview, and Bayview regulation nines.
Did You Know? The Executive course is part of a 45-hole golf facility: three regulation nines can be combined into 18-hole routes, while the Executive course supplies a separate 18-hole par-60 option. The facility is named for Rear Admiral Albert Cushing Read.
