13th Beach Golf Links (Beach Course)

Overview: The Beach Course at 13th Beach Golf Links occupies the open coastal land of the Bellarine Peninsula near Barwon Heads. Tony Cashmore's par-72 routing moves from the residential edge of the property into rolling dunes, where natural contours, broad sandy areas and strategic bunkering give the holes their links character. The opening section and the exposed middle holes feel different, yet the course remains connected by firm ground, low vegetation and the changing influence of the sea breeze.

History: The property was once an asparagus farm before it was transformed into golf, and the first 18-hole course opened in December 2001. 13th Beach later added the Creek Course in 2004 and a nine-hole Short Course in 2021, creating a multi-course golf destination on the Bellarine. The Beach Course became an important tournament setting through the Vic Open, which has been played at 13th Beach since 2013.

Did You Know? The first four holes run through the residential precinct before the fifth tee opens onto the more fully exposed links land. That change is easy to feel in the round: the corridors become wider, the horizon expands and the wind has more room to influence the ball. The transition gives the course a built-in sense of arrival without relying on an artificial landmark.
